THAI Wins Brussels Airport Aviation Awards for Punctuality

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) has won the “Punctuality Awards, Long Haul Airline” in the Brussels Airport Aviation Awards 2013, for the year 2012; the punctuality criterion is to have the best on-time performance for arrivals and departures at Brussels Airport, that is, an actual arrival or departure time within 15 minutes of the scheduled time.

Ms. Katrien Depauw (right), THAI District Sales Manager Belgium & Luxembourg, received the award on behalf of THAI from Mr. Arnaud Feist (center), CEO of Brussels Airport, at this year’s Brussels Airport Aviation Awards 2013. The award ceremony was held on Thursday 28 March 2013, and also attended by Mr. Tom Sterckx (left), Airport Services Manager of THAI Handling Agent Swissport.

On ursday 21 March, 2013, THAI Ground Services led by Mr. Pandit Chanapai, Managing Director, organized “Let’s Bowl
Thank You Party” for over 70 valued customer airlines to get together and share a great recreation time at Blu-O Rhythm & Bowl, Mega Bangna. The guests enjoyed delicious buet lunch of Thai and international menus created by our dedicated chefs of THAI Catering throughout the event. ere were fun games and karaoke rooms to entertain our guests.

After the cheerful bowling game, the top three highest scoring teams for the rst round were Jet Airways, Eastar Jet Airlines and Philippine Airline respectively. While Ethiopian Airlines,
T’Way Airlines and Nippon Cargo Airlines were the winner of the second round.Besides, there were lucky draw presents given to the fortunate guests.

TransAsia Airways (GE) inaugural flight

THAI Ground Services by Ms. Somjit Wanleenuwat, Director of
Strategy & Business Management Department (1J) – Ground Services Business Unit has joined in ceremony the inaugural flight of TransAsia Airways (GE) presided by Mr. Vincent M.Lin, J.D, Chairman on 15 March 2013 at Suvarnabhumi Airport.

TransAsia Airways was formed in 1951 as the first private-owned airline company in domestic and based in Taipei, Taiwan. It mainly serves the domestic and international flight to China. GE also expands the regional route to Southeast Asia and will daily operate GE867/ 868 with A330: TPE-BKK V.V.
