For over five decades, THAI has maintained an absolute dedication to all aspects of training, to ensure maximum safety and efficiency throughout its global flight operations. THAI purchased its first flight simulator, for DC-8-33 jets, in 1972. From that time, the company expanded its flight simulation resources dynamically, with the objective of achieving full self-sufficiency in this vital aspect of pilot training and promotion of professional expertise.
Today, THAI operates a total of nine state-of-the-art simulators, including advanced versions for B747-400, B777-200/300, A300-600, A330, A340-600 and B737-400 aircraft types. In addition, Maintenance Flight Training Devices (MFTD) and sophisticated classroom facilities are available for more basic aspects of instruction. All these resources are employed not only for THAI pilots, but also for the flight crews of up to 40 other customer airlines annually.
THAI’s fully qualified instructors have unrivalled experience in the effective employment of simulators and advanced teaching facilities to provide maximum benefits for its client airlines. Training courses can be arranged on a brief, residential or on-going basis and are tailored to customer’s budget and schedule requirements. Rates for simulator leasing sessions and course programmes are competitive and designed to meet the most demanding international specifications.
